On Wednesday, February 13, 2019, Asharqia Chamber will organize a meeting with the Director General of the Agricultural Development Fund, Munir Bin Fahd Al-Sahli, with businessmen and businesswomen from investors in the agricultural sector, at the headquarter of the Chamber in Dammam, at one o'clock.
The meeting, which is a part of the activities and programs of the Environment and Food Committee for the current year that is headed by Talal bin Sultan Al-Rasheed, aims to identify the investors, farmers, fishermen and those interested in the agricultural sector in various fields, including the Agricultural Development Fund and its support mechanisms for agricultural projects, its contribution to raising the lending, financing for projects used for modern agricultural technologies, as well as its objectives in achieving rural development in line with the Vision of the Kingdom of 2030, and review the most important issues and challenges facing the sector and ways to solve them.
It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom has paid great attention to the agricultural sector and has achieved great developmental leaps in quantity and quality in various fields, and has become one of the important tributaries of the national economy, as it provides about 30% of the total food available for domestic consumption.
